A Muslim who stabbed a pregnant Romanian prostitute to death after warning her not to work near a mosque was jailed for at least 29 years.
Farooq Shah, 21, plunged a knife into Mariana Popa’s chest while riding his bicycle along a stretch of road notorious for sex workers.
Miss Popa, 24, had been in Britain for just three weeks and was trying to earn the money to support her family when she was stabbed in Ilford, Essex.
Iraqi insurgents executed at least 160 prisoners in just four days in the northern city of Tikrit, according to a human rights group which cited analysis of satellite imagery and shocking photographs released by the militants.
The U.S.-based Human Rights Watch said jihadists from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) killed between 160 and 190 men in two locations in Tikrit between June 11 and June 14.

FAISALABAD: A man killed his niece in Mamon Kanjan on Monday night, claiming that she had “loose morals” and had brought “untold shame” on the family.
He said upon hearing the shots, neighbours gathered at the house. They saw Ayesha Bibi lying in a pool of blood and Aslam Ahmad standing next to her with a gun in his hands, he added. Ali said she was still alive but when tried to take her to a hospital Aslam threatened to shoot anyone who tried to help her.
Ali said, “Aslam Ahmad told the people that he had shot Ayesha because she had ‘loose morals’ and had brought shame on the family. She eloped with a man while her parents were arranging for her to marry her cousin.”
As the summer season kicks off, Turkish holiday goers flocked to beaches and resort towns last weekend.
